This is such an exquisite bowl-absolutely enchanting! Hand painted and decorated with ornate gold moriage detailing, and pink flowers. Deeply scalloped edges with a deep red background. The centre also has gold moriage surrounding dainty pink flowers. Unmarked. A faded label is from Gray’s China Hall in Chatham, Ontario Canada. Gray's China Hall was a well known antique shop, originally opened as The Ark in 1892 before it was taken over by James Edgar Gray in the early 1900s. It moved to its King St location in the 1930s-thus you can see “King” on the label. The piece is mostly likely Noritake Nippon porcelain. Absolutely stunning, and one for the discerning collector. The bowl measures 9.5 inches in diameter and approximately 2 inches high. Excellent vintage condition. It pings like a bell!
