It always amazes me when you find an antique item that was never used up for sale. This is a little beauty! Although the box is worn-the gold tone powder compact inside has never been used. Made by Elgin American, this rich looking Art Deco compact is monogrammed-the ones I have seen on line all have different initials-with a crown at the top of a gold laurel wreath. Inside, a little push of the door opens up to a never used powder applicator. A mirror completes the item. And all inside its original fabric sleeve. Art Deco is my favourite era-is it yours?
