Aside from some cleaning needed on the back panel (please examine the photos) and a tiny bit of wear on the bottom left corner of this 1940s handbag, this is in excellent vintage condition. Souré Bags of New York produced exquisite beaded and embroidered purses and handbags. This gorgeous bag has a multitude of tiny beads and green, red and yellow faux gem accents on a needlepoint/embroidered floral background. 4 coppery metal leaf and 2 fabric leaf appliqués. Unusual to have this lucite handle, which puts this bag a step above others. Plastic inner lining with a side pocket. The handbag measures approximately 9.5 inches high without the handle and 14 inches high with the handle. 11 inches at its widest.
Very good vintage condition. As mentioned, the back panel needs cleaning, which I would suggest should be done professionally so as to keep the fabric intact.
